The Austrian Cancer Aid was founded in 1910 and will celebrate 2020 it’s 110th birthday. We are a Non-Profit-Organization, non-governmental and of public interest only. Our 9 local organizations and 63 information-centers provide advice and help for 33.000 cancer patients and relatives yearly.

In addition we focus on the information of the population regarding all possible means to avoid cancer respectively ensure early detection. Our yearly public campaigns include colon cancer, prostate cancer, skin cancer, breast cancer, HPV, non-smoking. From this year on we will include the #worldgoday in our yearly campaigns. The worldgoday in Austria is a cooperation betwenn Austrian Cancer Aid and AGO (Austrian Gynaecologists). We are closely working together and have produced information material about the importance of early detection and where and how patients can get the support they need. and about worldgoday. In addition we have founded the closed Facebook-group „Unterleibskrebs Österreich“ for patients facing gynaecological cancer.
