On 3 September, MOG will organise a Purple Swim in the sea at Ericeira as part of the activities planned for "Purple September", our awareness campaign, now in its second year. The campaign aims to encourage more people to talk about gynaecological cancers and raise awareness of these diseases.
Organization
MOG is a Portuguese non-profit association founded in 2019 to support women with gynaecological cancers and advocate for their rights, while also supporting their families and caregivers. Its mission is to inform, empower, represent and provide support, promoting health literacy and more human-centred care. Working closely with healthcare professionals, scientific societies, public institutions and civil society, MOG raises awareness, promotes early diagnosis and equitable access to quality care. MOG is officially recognised as a Public Utility organisation and as a Health Service Users' Defence Association in Portugal.
