Petrol Ribbon Awareness Days
The Petrol Ribbon Action Days 2026 will take place on October 8–9 and focus on women’s health, prevention and gynecologic cancer awareness across different stages of life.
A central highlight is a walk-through uterus, offering students an engaging way to explore anatomy and women’s health. Educational sessions address the first visit to a gynecologist, HPV vaccination, chlamydia and contraception. For women and interested men, the program covers cancer prevention, early detection, menopausal symptoms, postmenopausal bleeding and endometrial cancer. Expert lectures on fast-track evaluation of postmenopausal bleeding and state-of-the-art management of endometrial cancer complete the program.
Organization
The Karl Landsteiner Institute for Gynecological Surgery and Oncology in Linz, Austria, promotes clinical research, innovation and education in gynecology and gynecological oncology. Its activities focus on the scientific evaluation of surgical techniques, minimally invasive surgery, gynecological cancer prevention and treatment, and translational research. A major emphasis is placed on medical education through hands-on surgical workshops, laparoscopy, ultrasound, colposcopy and dysplasia courses. The Institute participates in collaborative and multicenter research projects and supports young physicians and researchers, aiming to translate scientific evidence and innovation into high-quality patient care.
