In Komen, a tree wrapped in purple will create a visible reminder of women’s health and gynaecological cancers. We will encourage women to know possible signs and symptoms and seek medical advice when they notice changes. The activity is part of our Purple September campaign, with this year’s slogan “Take Care of Your Essential Parts” (“Poskrbi za svoje nepogrešljive kose”). Through 22 activities across Slovenia, we are bringing information closer to women and helping break the stigma around gynaecological cancers.
Organization
Europa Donna Slovenia is a national patient advocacy organization dedicated to raising awareness about breast and gynaecological cancers and supporting women affected by these diseases. As part of the wider Europa Donna network, we focus on awareness, education, advocacy and support for patients and their families. We provide reliable information, organize awareness campaigns and events, and work with healthcare professionals and decision-makers to improve prevention, early detection, treatment and quality of life. We are committed to empowering women, breaking stigma and making sure the voices and needs of patients are heard.
