At our awareness stand in Krško, visitors can talk to our volunteers and receive new materials about gynaecological cancers, prevention, HPV vaccination and possible signs and symptoms, as well as information for women facing the disease and treatment. The activity is part of our Purple September campaign, with this year’s slogan “Take Care of Your Essential Parts” (“Poskrbi za svoje nepogrešljive kose”). Through 22 activities across Slovenia, we are sharing knowledge, encouraging open conversations and helping break stigma.
Organization
Europa Donna Slovenia is a national patient advocacy organization dedicated to raising awareness about breast and gynaecological cancers and supporting women affected by these diseases. As part of the wider Europa Donna network, we provide information and support to patients and their families, raise awareness and advocate for patients’ needs and rights. Through our Gynaecological Cancers Section, we provide dedicated support to women affected by these cancers and work to break the stigma surrounding them. We also work with healthcare professionals and decision-makers to improve prevention, early detection, treatment and quality of life.
