On September 20th an awareness walk through Ancona (Marche) will take place to spread information about gynaecological cancers. Among the main streets of the city, this huge event, supported by local firms and institutions, will be a great opportunity to spread the word about prevention.
The walk will start from the so-called Passetto, a historical monument in the very city centre, and will end at The Mole, one of the most significant buildings in the region.
Organization
Loto is a non-profit association based on the work of volunteers, who are fighting against ovarian cancer. One of Loto ODV’s goals is to disseminate information, making women aware of diseases like ovarian cancer. It was created in 2013 by a group of patients and friends who wanted to initiate a "pioneering" pathway to deal with a disease whose causes are unknown and for which effective measures for early diagnosis are not yet available. Dedicated events, workshops and conferences, the website, social media and the newsletters are the main tools through which information, support and awareness-raising activities are carried out.
