To mark World GO Day, Women & Cancer (WCAN) will host a special webinar on September 27, 2026, under the theme “Let’s Talk About Gynecologic Cancers.”
The event aims to deepen understanding of gynecologic cancers, expand our circle of support, and promote prevention. Together, we will talk openly about gynecologic cancers, connect with one another, learn from each other, and offer support—making this a meaningful evening of connection, learning, and solidarity.
Organization
WCAN is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness of and fighting gynecologic cancers. We began in 2017 as the “Ovarian Cancer Workshop,” a small gathering initiated by three women undergoing treatment for gynecologic cancer who wanted to share their experiences, thoughts, and knowledge with one another. In 2022, we changed our name and welcomed gynecologic cancer specialists as advisors, further clarifying our mission and expanding our activities. Our mission is to empower all women to better understand gynecologic cancers and to promote prevention, early detection, peer connection, mutual support, and access to appropriate medical care—so that no woman has to face gynecologic cancer alone.
