Kick-off of telemedicine counseling
Kick off of the new telemedicine counseling service kicks off, offered for the very first time by a patient association. Strengthening the bond between doctor and patient through innovation: this is the goal of this project born from the collaboration between the patient association Acto Lombardia, the local Health Agency in Lecco, and Abmedica, a leading company in the healthcare sector that provides advanced IT solutions and telemedicine systems for hospital-territory integration. The initiative responds to the need to never leave women affected by gynecological cancer alone, offering them a direct channel to consult with experts on clinical, psychological, and relational matters. Patients will interact with a multidisciplinary HCP team.
Organization
Acto Lombardia is member of the Acto Network of patient advocacy groups engaged in the prevention and care of all gynecological cancers, consisting of 1 national and 7 regional Acto Associations in Italy, independently established and autonomous, in Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Tuscany, Campania, Apulia and Sicily. Acto mission is to improve the awareness, to promote prevention and screening, to support equal access to care, to organize initiatives improving patinent quality of life and to advocate for their rights.
