On September 20th, we will begin the day with a walk to Celjska Koča in support of women affected by gynaecological cancers. The walk is a symbolic act of solidarity and awareness, showing that no woman should face the disease alone. At Celjska Koča there will also be an awareness stand, where visitors can get information, materials, and talk about prevention, early detection, and breaking stigma. This year Slovenia is joining World GO Day for the fifth time. With Europa Donna Slovenia we are spreading awareness in nine cities, each year reaching further so more women and families can hear the message. Our stands and volunteers will be recognized by the purple caps – a strong and simple symbol of support and solidarity.

Organization

Europa Donna Slovenia, established in 1997, is a member of Europa Donna - the European Breast Cancer Coalition, dedicated to raising awareness, education, and support for breast and gynaecologic cancer patients and their families. Our programs provide valuable information and resources, as well as direct support to those affected by these cancers. We empower patients to participate in their care decisions and stand by them through our organizations and representatives. By bridging communication between patients, healthcare professionals, and policymakers, we aim to enhance the quality of life for those impacted by ensuring they receive comprehensive care and support throughout their journey during treatment and post-treatment recovery.
