In the morning of September 19th, an awareness stand will be set up at the Centre for Health Promotion (CKZ Črnomelj). Local residents will have access to valuable information and direct support, fostering greater community engagement in women’s health. This year Slovenia is joining World GO Day for the fifth time. With Europa Donna Slovenia we are spreading awareness about gynaecological cancers in nine cities. Every year we go a step further so that more women and families can hear the message about early detection and breaking the stigma. Our stands and volunteers will be recognized by the purple caps – a simple but strong symbol of support and solidarity.

Organization

Europa Donna Slovenia, established in 1997, is a member of Europa Donna - the European Breast Cancer Coalition, dedicated to raising awareness, education, and support for breast and gynaecologic cancer patients and their families. Our programs provide valuable information and resources, as well as direct support to those affected by these cancers. We empower patients to participate in their care decisions and stand by them through our organizations and representatives. By bridging communication between patients, healthcare professionals, and policymakers, we aim to enhance the quality of life for those impacted by ensuring they receive comprehensive care and support throughout their journey during treatment and post-treatment recovery.
