On September 18th, at 12:30 PM, supporters will join the traditional walk Across the Bridges of the Ljubljanica, sending a strong message of solidarity and support. From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a promotional stand at Prešeren Square will provide information, raise awareness, and encourage open discussions about gynaecological cancers. This year Slovenia is joining World GO Day for the fifth time. With Europa Donna Slovenia we are spreading awareness in nine cities, each year reaching further so that more women and families can hear the message about early detection and breaking the stigma. Our stands and volunteers will be recognized by the purple caps – a simple but strong symbol of support and solidarity.

Organization

Europa Donna Slovenia, established in 1997, is a member of Europa Donna - the European Breast Cancer Coalition, dedicated to raising awareness, education, and support for breast and gynaecologic cancer patients and their families. Our programs provide valuable information and resources, as well as direct support to those affected by these cancers. We empower patients to participate in their care decisions and stand by them through our organizations and representatives. By bridging communication between patients, healthcare professionals, and policymakers, we aim to enhance the quality of life for those impacted by ensuring they receive comprehensive care and support throughout their journey during treatment and post-treatment recovery.
