On September 19th, at 7:00 PM, a special handball match will be played in Radeče to support awareness of gynaecological cancers. Players, supporters, and visitors will combine sport and solidarity, creating a powerful community statement. Before the match, an awareness stand will be set up at the Sports Hall, offering information and space for dialogue about women’s health. This year Europa Donna Slovenia is joining World GO Day for the fifth time. We are spreading awareness about gynaecological cancers in nine cities. Every year we go a step further so that more women and families can hear the message about early detection and breaking the stigma. Our stands and volunteers will be recognized by the purple caps - a simple sign of support.

Organization

Europa Donna Slovenia, established in 1997, is a member of Europa Donna - the European Breast Cancer Coalition, dedicated to raising awareness, education, and support for breast and gynaecologic cancer patients and their families. Our programs provide valuable information and resources, as well as direct support to those affected by these cancers. We empower patients to participate in their care decisions and stand by them through our organizations and representatives. By bridging communication between patients, healthcare professionals, and policymakers, we aim to enhance the quality of life for those impacted by ensuring they receive comprehensive care and support throughout their journey during treatment and post-treatment recovery.
