As part of World GO Day, Europa Donna Slovenia will bring gynaecological cancers to the Slovenian Parliament with a national advocacy event focused on improving care for women. Experts, policymakers, healthcare representatives and patient advocates will discuss Slovenian and European data, quality of care, key challenges and good practices from Denmark. The aim is to raise awareness at the highest decision-making level and identify concrete opportunities to improve the organization, accessibility and quality of gynaecological cancer care in Slovenia.
Organization
Europa Donna Slovenia is a national patient organization dedicated to breast and gynaecological cancers and a member of Europa Donna – The European Breast Cancer Coalition. We provide information and support to patients and families, raise awareness and advocate for patients’ needs and rights. We are actively involved in research and European projects, bringing the patient perspective into research, healthcare and policy. Through our Gynaecological Cancers Section, we support women affected by these cancers and work to break the stigma. We collaborate with healthcare professionals, researchers and decision-makers to improve prevention, early detection, treatment, care and quality of life.
