i-am-not-my-diagnosis

Join us on September 18th for World GO Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about gynecological cancers, prevention, early detection and access to quality care.

Through conversations with medical experts and patients, we will discuss where Serbia stands today in comparison with Europe, how accessible prevention and treatment are, and what support means to women during and after treatment.

We will place a special focus on life after treatment – returning to everyday life, quality of life, understanding and support that should not end with the final treatment.

Because a woman is more than a patient.

She is a woman who wants to continue to live, work, love, make plans and feel accepted.

Together, we break the stigma. Together, we stand.

Organization

Women’s Center “MILICA” The Women’s Center “MILICA” is a humanitarian, voluntary, non-governmental and non-profit organization founded in 2010, dedicated to improving women’s health, quality of life and rights. For more than 15 years, we have worked locally, nationally and internationally to support women affected by breast cancer and gynecological cancers, promoting prevention, early detection, quality treatment and rehabilitation. Our work combines prevention, education, support and advocacy. We promote regular check-ups, self-examinations, healthy lifestyles and access to quality diagnostics. We provide psychosocial, emotional and peer support to women and their families, while advocating for patients’ rights and better access to innovative therapies and rehabilitation.
