On the occasion of Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month and World GO Day, ALTo – Associazione Lotta al Tumore Ovarico is promoting an event dedicated to ovarian cancer. Doctors, patients and families will discuss symptoms, risk factors, diagnosis, treatment pathways and new perspectives in research. A central role will be given to patients’ voices, sharing the experience of the disease through those who live it firsthand. We will also remember Maricetta, Antonella, Lidia and Valentina, representing all the women we have lost to ovarian cancer. Raising awareness, giving patients a voice, remembering those who are no longer with us and supporting research: together for life.
Organization
ALTO – Associazione Lotta al Tumore Ovarico represents women affected by ovarian cancer and advocates for appropriate, timely and equitable care. It supports scientific research, promotes diagnostic and therapeutic innovation, and raises public awareness. ALTO provides patients and caregivers with information, guidance and support, while fostering dialogue with clinicians and institutions. Its advocacy focuses on equitable access to molecular testing, biomarkers, clinical trials, innovative treatments and centres of excellence. As a partner of the European ENGAGe network, ALTO brings patients’ voices and needs to national and international decision-making forums.
