At our awareness stand in Jesenice General Hospital, visitors will find information about gynaecological cancers, prevention and possible signs and symptoms, as well as materials for women already facing the disease and treatment. The activity is part of our Purple September campaign, with this year’s slogan “Take Care of Your Essential Parts” (“Poskrbi za svoje nepogrešljive kose”). Through 22 activities across Slovenia, we encourage women to recognise changes, take care of their health and talk openly about gynaecological cancers.
Organization
Europa Donna Slovenia is a national patient organization dedicated to breast and gynaecological cancers and a member of Europa Donna – The European Breast Cancer Coalition. We provide information and support to patients and families, raise awareness and advocate for patients’ needs and rights. We are actively involved in research and European projects, bringing the patient perspective into research, healthcare and policy. Through our Gynaecological Cancers Section, we support women affected by these cancers and work to break the stigma. We collaborate with healthcare professionals, researchers and decision-makers to improve prevention, early detection, treatment, care and quality of life.
