In Divača, we will walk in purple in support of women affected by gynaecological cancers. An awareness stand and a tree wrapped in purple will make our message even more visible. Visitors will also receive information about prevention, HPV vaccination and possible signs and symptoms. The event is part of our Purple September campaign, with this year’s slogan “Take Care of Your Essential Parts” (“Poskrbi za svoje nepogrešljive kose”). Together, we are showing solidarity with women affected by these cancers and helping break the stigma.
Organization
Europa Donna Slovenia is a national patient organization dedicated to breast and gynaecological cancers and a member of Europa Donna – The European Breast Cancer Coalition. We provide information and support to patients and families, raise awareness and advocate for patients’ needs and rights. We are actively involved in research and European projects, bringing the patient perspective into research, healthcare and policy. Through our Gynaecological Cancers Section, we support women affected by these cancers and work to break the stigma. We collaborate with healthcare professionals, researchers and decision-makers to improve prevention, early detection, treatment, care and quality of life.
