This event brings together cancer survivors, healthcare workers, families and the wider community to stand in solidarity with women affected by gynecologic cancers. Under the theme “Support, Not Stigma,” we aim to break the silence, challenge stigma and create a supportive community where no woman faces cancer alone. Through a 12KM awareness walk, Zumba and fun community activities, we will promote healthy living while raising awareness about women’s cancers. Participants will also have access to free cervical cancer screening using HPV self collection testing, helping women take an important step toward prevention and early detection. Together, we walk for awareness, health, hope and support.
Organization
SheFights Cancer Foundation is a women-led, not-for-profit organization dedicated to reducing the burden of women’s cancers through awareness, prevention, early detection, access to treatment and patient support. Based in Kenya, the Foundation works to bridge gaps in cancer care, particularly for underserved communities. Its work includes community education, cervical and breast cancer screening, treatment of cervical precancer, surgical outreach camps, healthcare-worker training and patient advocacy. By bringing together survivors, communities, healthcare professionals and partners, SheFights strives to ensure that no woman faces cancer because she lacked information, access to quality care or support.
