World GO Day: Digital Awareness

1. - 30. 9. 2026
Kenya

Pink Hearts Cancer Support Foundation participated in World GO Day 2026 through a digital awareness and education campaign focused on gynaecological cancers. Throughout September, we shared and will keep sharing educational content on cervical, ovarian, endometrial, vaginal and vulvar cancers, including information on symptoms, risk factors, myths and facts, stigma, early recognition and the importance of seeking appropriate care.

The campaign also encouraged open and stigma-free conversations around gynaecological cancers and promoted greater understanding of the challenges women face in accessing timely information and care.

Organization

Pink Hearts Cancer Support Foundation is a Kenyan community-driven organization working to improve the quality of life of people affected by cancer, with a focus on breast and gynaecological cancers. Founded in 2016 and registered in 2017, the organization works across Kenya through prevention, early detection and diagnosis and survivorship support. Its work includes community cancer education, awareness and outreach, linkages to screening and care, advocacy for improved access to cancer services and practical support for survivors, including breast prostheses, mastectomy bras, compression sleeves and other assistive devices. Pink Hearts works with communities and partners to reduce barriers to timely cancer care.
